In several studies, when children were asked to draw a mathematician or scientist, girls were twice as likely to draw men as they were to draw women, while boys almost universally drew men,
often in a lab coat.

To break the idea that these professions are usually seen as a "boy thing" and show that anyone can have interests, skills and dreams related to STEM careers, Google asked us to make a series of six animated videos focused on children from the age of 6-11 years.
Each video was built using research done with real women in the job market. Their interests and characteristics helped to create the main characters of the videos and their challenges were translated into fantastic and entertaining stories for children.

As Executive Producer, I developed the concept of assembling an all-female production team, pairing female illustrators and animators, to collaboratively bring to life the distinct stories of each woman and her profession. It was such a meaningful project that I felt compelled to produce it myself.
I loved this project so much that I couldn’t resist spending a little extra time showcasing all the work behind it. Enjoy!
